The Texas Rangers’ starting pitchers have talent, but…………..

The projected starting rotation of the Texas Rangers has a cumulative major league record of 284-260 (.522 %) which proves that they have talent. The problem is that only one of them (Kason Gabbard) pitched up to his ability last season. The Rangers have paid big money to Kevin Millwood and Vicente Padilla and they have been disappointments. The Rangers really need them to pitch like they can to lead the rotation. Jason Jennings came over as a free agent from the Astros but he was horrible and had his season cut by injury last year. He has the talent to be a solid #3 starter if he can stay healthy. Brandon McCarthy leaves too many pitches up in the strike zone and that negates anything good he does, as last season was a disaster for him. The only lefty in the projected starting rotation is Kason Gabbard and he looked good last season. He doesn’t have dominant stuff but he knows how to get the most out of what he does have.
