Nelson Cruz earned a demotion to the minors in the first half of the season but he has really played well in the 2nd half of the year for the Rangers.  Cruz has played in 21 games in the 2nd half of the season and he is 23 for 79 (.291 avg, .799 OPS) with 12 runs scored, 3 homers and 12 RBIs.  His season numbers are starting to improve but they still don’t look too good yet.  Cruz has now played in 65 games this season and he is 50 for 223 (.224 avg, .639 OPS) with 26 runs scored, 6 homers and 24 RBIs.
